CULTIVATION CREATIVE BRANDING & Website Design

The Process

Patricia Jo came to me looking for a comprehensive branding revamp.

As a community-driven creative studio, it was important for her to have a brand that encompassed her values of authentic connection and community building.

Her branding needed to showcase her fun and urban approach to creative marketing while focusing on organic growth (and her love for plants…)

After a comprehensive discovery session, a new brand was born that embodied her urban, inclusive and family-friendly demeanor that says, “lets turn your mission into a web presence.”

Mood Board

In all branding projects, we begin with a collection of Pinterest images to get a taste for the client’s preferences. As they say, a photo speaks a thousand words! After Patricia created a visual compilation of images, I curated a mood board with her ideas in mind, yet narrowing the focus to embody growth, movement, and diversity. As the mood board to sets the tone for the rest of the brand and visual presence, we wanted to capture her essence of community building with a fun, urban-focused audience in mind. The concept was to create authentic community through creative marketing. This was accomplished through texture, color, and linear elements. The colors and mood embodied in the brand board sets the tone for the rest of the branding process, and is used in reference to create the logo and supplemental visual assets. It’s also handy when wondering what images to post on Instagram later down the line!
Logo Options

After presenting 2 different logo options, we decided to move forward with option 1.

Creating supplemental visual assets including the submark and color variations was drawn from her mood board and existing website color preferences.
