wanderlust: a postcard poetry book

“People travel for all different reasons. Some go for business, school, and some for leisure. Despite the original reason, everyone takes something different away from a place. The memories are unique to the individual and form a special place in the heart. This book was inspired by vintage postcards, which have been around since the 19th century. Postcards are one way to collect and retain memories that have been used for decades to share information and keep in touch. My fascination of places and cultures were sparked from my semester abroad and the personal experiences that came with traveling. The photos featured I took throughout my journey. Through other’s poetry, I hope to share their unique perspectives in this book. Enjoy the journey.”

Wanderlust, A Postcard Poetry Book merges the sentiment of travel with the tradition of postcards to form a poetry book of personal recollections that bring the reader to a time and place unique to the author’s heart.

The book and suitcase were handmade and bound, and all images were photographed by me on my own journeys.
